Serving at Flint Groves
We believe every person has been uniquely gifted by God to serve.
At Flint Groves Baptist Church, serving isn’t just about filling a role—it’s about using your gifts to
build up the church and be part of what God is doing in and through our church family.
There’s a place for you here, and we’d love to help you find it.

Volunteer FAQ
How do I volunteer?
Volunteering starts with church membership, because serving is an extension of being part of our church family. From there, it’s really about your willingness and availability—we’ll help you find a place that fits how God has gifted you.
For anyone serving with kids or students, we do require a background check to help ensure a safe and secure environment.
Serving is one of the ways we care for one another. At times, it may even mean stepping out of a Sunday Worship Gathering to invest in the next generation so others can fully engage in worship and the Word. It truly takes the whole church working together, and it’s a joy to be part of that.

What teams can I serve on?
There are lots of ways to jump in and serve, and we’d love to help you find a place that fits you well. Each team plays an important role in helping our church care for people, create welcoming environments, and make, mature, and multiply disciples.
If you’re not sure where to start, that’s okay—we’ll walk with you and help you find the right fit based on your gifts, interests, and availability. Some of our serve teams include: Parking, Connections, Security, Music, Media, Ushers, Prayer, Creative, Nursery, Kids, and Students

What if I’m not sure where I should serve?
That’s completely okay—you’re not expected to have it all figured out. We’d love to help you find a place that fits your gifts, interests, and availability. You can start by filling out the serve form, and someone from our team will follow up with you to talk through options and help you take a next step. Serving is a journey, and it’s okay to try a team and see if it’s the right fit.
Can I serve on more than one team?
Yes... and we encourage it! Serving in more than one area can be a great way to use your gifts and get connected in different parts of church life.
At the same time, we want to be mindful not to overload anyone. We typically recommend serving on 2 teams, depending on your availability and season of life. Our goal is for serving to be life-giving, not overwhelming.
